Danrem 162/WB Appreciates and supports the processing of waste into renewable energy

W Lombok – Korem 162 / WB Commander Colonel Czi Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, S, Sos, SH, M. Han., accompanied NTB Governor, H Zulkieflimansyah together
General Manager of PLN UIW NTB, saw Pellet fuel which is processed from rubbish, at the Final Waste Disposal Site in Kebon Kongok, Friday (1/31/2020).

Danrem 162 / WB Expressed their appreciation for the breakthrough in the process of processing waste.

“As we know, the NTB Provincial Government is cooperating with PLN, developing an industry that processes waste into fuel pellets. One of the processing locations is the Kebon Kongok landfill (TPA), West Lombok Regency,” he said.

When testing, some garbage processing machines have produced pellets. The process of processing waste into energy is a follow-up of a joint agreement between the NTB Provincial Government and the National Electric Company (PLN) Persero, the NTB Regional Main Unit (UIW), 22 January 2020. The agreement includes research and development of waste management technology into energy sources.

This waste processing process is fairly simple and easy. After being sorted, the waste which has been separated from rock and iron is then passed through a process of peuyeumisasi or the process of accumulation with a bioactivator for seven days. Next, the waste is put in a chopper and the results are printed in a pellet printing machine. The results can be used for fuel.

Danrem 162 WB, Col. CZi Ahmad Rizal Ramdani, who reviewed the pellet energy production process directly, said the presence of the machine made it easier for the public to process waste.

“Thanks to PLN, which for its hard work, its seriousness caused what was previously impossible to be possible in our place, turning waste into something meaningful,” Governor Zul said at Kebon Kongok Landfill, Friday (01/31/2020).

The NTB Provincial Government, continued Zul Zulul, is promoting a zero-waste program, which is a program to maintain environmental cleanliness by minimizing waste. Zero waste is the subject of discourse and discussion everywhere. The presence of a processing machine will encourage the community to collect waste.

Alhamdulillah, with the presence of processing into something meaningful, PLN is using it, even for the community with its stove, I think the problem of minimal waste is light at the end of the tunnel, “he said.

Bang Zul expressed his appreciation to the ranks of PLN who have developed this technology. Thus, the zero-waste program is no longer a discourse. But it has become evident in the community.

General Manager of PLN UIW NTB, Rudi Purnomoloka, said that the installation of waste processing machines will produce pellet fuel. One ton of waste can produce 40 percent pellets.

“This is one of our contributions PLN to the government and the people of NTB. So that we can also help with the waste problem in each region, ” he said.
